Dear IEFC-EFIATLANTIC newsletter reader, the whole team of the EFIATLANTIC wish you an happy and fruitfull new year. We are still using the IEFC website to disseminate news and announcements, and even if we will maintain all the services provided by this website for long, we hope to be able to send you our next wishes with the new EFIATLANTIC website.
As you can imagine, integration of all the new Regional Offices, with their history, know-hows, cultures and constraints is a big challenge for EFI. IEFC is playing a substantial role hosting the Regional Office team, and collecting funds of EFIATLANTIC. We invite all of you to attend to the next annual meeting that will take place in March on the 18th in Navarra to discuss about how to face this challenge and how to associate as much as possible atlantic organisations in this joint venture. A tentative programme of this day starting by a business meeting and ending with REINFFORCE seminar “Climate change : post copenhague challenges for forest” will be available here. Estimado lector de la gacetilla de IEFC-EFIAtlantic, el equipo de EFIAtlantic les desea un Feliz y Prospero Año Nuevo. Todavía estamos usando la páginaweb de IEFC para diseminar noticias y anuncios, en el futuro próximo nuestros esfuerzos y comunicación os llegarán a través de otras herramientas de comunicación como la nueva página de EFIAtlantic prevista para el primer trimestre del 2010
La integración de la estructura operativa de IEFC con la Oficina Regional de EFIAtlantic sigue su proceso. IEFC esta jugando un papel fundamental alojando a todo el equipo de la Oficina Regional y busqueda de fondos para EFIAtlantic. Os invitamos a nuestra próxima reunión anual que tendrá lugar en 18 de Marzo en Navarra para discutir como afrontar y aglutinar este esfuerzo común. El programa comenzará con la reunión de negocios y continuará con un seminario del proyecto REINFFORCE sobre ” Cambio Climático: Retos para los Bosques después de Copenague” algunas aspectos a tratar serán: FLEGT, REDD, cuotas, contribuciones voluntarias,
